(Gospel) Lesson One – Witnessing in Life: The Gospel of Jesus

Purpose of this lesson
By understanding the background and formation process of the Gospels, we can learn about the Jesus presented in the Gospels, and thus recognize and accept that Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God.
Background introduction
The essence of Christianity is not a religious doctrine, a set of moral codes, or a spiritual experience. Of course, Christianity has rich theological theories, sound moral standards, and valuable spiritual experiences, but at the core of the Christian faith is Jesus Christ—a historical figure who appeared more than two thousand years ago. In Him, God became man. No one has ever seen God; Jesus Christ came to reveal God's true face to humanity. No one has ever transcended sin and death; Jesus Christ came to accomplish salvation and open the door to eternity. He is the only hope for postmodern humanity.
